This passion extends to the law itself, as Lydia sits on advisory boards, regularly presents professional development seminars and has been appointed to the legal panel of a peak industry body to provide technical advice.

Lydia has an extensive range of experience, including:

    • Transacting across all sectors of the property market: agricultural, commercial, industrial, mixed-use, residential and retail.
       

    • Advising on acquisition and disposal, including due diligence investigations.
       

    • Advising on leasing and licensing, including pre-commitments – heads of agreement.

    • Advising on off-the-plan projects from acquisition through to subdivision and disposal of lots, whether built-form or land-only.
       

    • Advising on access / easement arrangements with adjoining landowners or statutory authorities.

    • Advising on title restrictions, including easements, MCPs, restrictive covenants and Section 173 Agreements.
       

    • Advising on adverse possession claims, including defending such claims.
       

    • Advising on compulsory acquisitions.
       

    • Converting General Law Titles.
       

    • Advising on the sale of land, including the evaluation of offers and determining the merits of any departures.
       

    • Advising municipalities on an array of property dealings, including road discontinuances.
       

    • Advising water authorities on an array of property dealings, including in relation to the delivery of utility infrastructure.
       

    • Advising on dealings related to Crown Land.

    • Leading the NewLaw offering for residential conveyancing.
